Marine LNG was created in 2005, in the middle of the booming period for LNG projects, capitalising over the partners long standing experience in the LNG industry, with the welding of high grades & stainless piping, LNGC membranes, mechanics, and maintenance / repair of industrial plants.

LNG transfer prototypes:
On the opportunity of the development of the LNG transfer technology in offshore conditions, Marine LNG progressively developed a specific competence in the design & construction of prototypes & test benches for the transfer of LNG in offshore conditions, mainly as a unique subcontractor of Technip. Achievements include:
• Full scale “ALLS” prototype & LNG transfer test bench in Montoir Terminal (2007 / 2008)
• Installation of an LNG transfer spool piece prototype on LNGC “ARCTIC LADY” (HOEGH) while docking in Brest (summer 2008)
• Development of the Cryogenic PiP technology (2008 / 2011), including a welding cam-paign of 30” pipe sections, and prototypes for testing the FO sensors
• Various other prototypes for R&D activities
Prototypes were pre-assembled in our workshop (in the vicinity of Rouen), prior to their installation on site.
LNGC membrane (newbuilding & repair):
Marine LNG personnel mainly acquired their LNGC membrane experience with the former STII, a company formerly involved in the erection of LNGC membrane systems, since the beginning of their development. A 30 years experience in LNGC newbuilding or repairs has endowed our team with a unique expertise in membrane LNG tanks. The most extensive jobs achieved were the erection of the membrane systems for the last 5 LNGC built in Spain, with over 220 000 manhours spent for each of the vessels.
Backed by serious references in the industry, Marine LNG is presently aiming at re-deploying the LNGC membrane teams, for any type of CCS or stainless piping interventions, from minor leaks to full 6 months refits.
